Meghan McGuire’s lifelong passion for skateboarding and storytelling has taken her around the world, amplifying the voices of women in the sport. Growing up in Ashland, Oregon, she was introduced to the early days of the concrete skatepark movement when the town’s first park was built in 1998—a pivotal moment not just for her, but for the history of Grindline and the evolution of concrete skateparks.
By the time she earned her degree in Communications with a specialization in Photojournalism from Southern Oregon University in 2006, Meghan had already been traveling internationally to document and advocate for women’s skateboarding. In 2019, she co-founded BIGFOOT Skate Mag with pro skater Amy Caron, creating the first full-sized magazine dedicated to women in skateboarding—now preserved in the Smithsonian’s skateboarding capsule. Her work continues to bring visibility to female skaters worldwide as she covers major contests and stories from the field.
Since joining Grindline Skateparks in June 2024, Meghan has bridged the worlds of construction and marketing, managing logistics for on-site crews while also overseeing key marketing efforts, including website management and proposal writing. Her unique perspective as both a skateboarder and storyteller helps shape the company’s outreach and mission.
